Libero Copper & Gold is a mineral exploration company that holds a collection of porphyry copper deposits throughout the Americas in prolific but stable jurisdictions. The portfolio includes Mocoa, Big Red, Esperanza and Big Bulk.
Mocoa is a porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit located in Putumayo, Colombia in the Jurassic porphyry belt which extends through Ecuador and Colombia and is host to the Mirador mine and Waritza deposit among others. A pit-constrained resource at Mocoa contains 636 million tonnes of 0.33% copper containing 4.6 billion pounds of copper and 511 million pounds of molybdenum. Mocoa is open in both directions, along strike and at depth. Additional porphyry targets have been identified and are drill ready. Currently, the value is being unlocked with community engagement and advancing drilling.
Refer to the NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Mocoa Copper-Molybdenum Project, Colombia, dated January 17, 2022, Brepsant M., Sim R., Davis B.,
Cautionary Note: A Regional Forest Reserve intersects, and is located on, the western part of the deposit. A resource-limiting pit shell is restricted by the Regional Forest Reserve to 325M tonnes at 0.46% CuEq, 0.34% Cu and 0.036% Mo (at a 0.25% CuEq cut-off grade). Libero must follow the procedures set out in Resolution No. 110 dated January 28, 2022 from the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Colombia, as may be amended, suspended or replaced from time to time, in order to proceed with any mineral exploration in the Regional Forest Reserve. While Libero believes that it can likely satisfy the procedures set out in Resolution No. 110, there is no guarantee that it will do so, and the procedures may be subject to change.
Big Red is a new porphyry copper-gold discovery in the Golden Triangle, British Columbia, Canada — a geological province famous for its prodigious gold and copper mineralization. The initial drill program was completed during the 2020 field season resulting in the Terry Zone discovery. To date, 14 holes have been completed totalling 5100 metres at the Terry Zone discovery. All holes have intersected elevated copper-silver +/- low gold mineralization including hole BR-20-23 which intersected 0.34% Cu, 2.47 gpt Ag, 0.06 gpt Au over 120.4 metres (EOH), including 0.41% Cu, 2.93 gpt Ag and 0.07 gpt Au over 70.1 metres, from 3.0 to 73.1 metres and including 1.02% Cu, 7.23 gpt Ag, 0.11 gpt Au over 12.19 metres, from 60.96 to 73.15 metres.
A 2000-5,000-metre diamond drill program will commence in July 2022 to test a large potassic anomaly with local associated magnetic anomalies and coincidental elevated copper mineralization in surface outcrops immediately southeast of the Terry Zone discovery.
Esperanza is a porphyry copper-gold and epithermal gold project located in the prolific precious and base metal endowed Huachi mining district, San Juan province, Argentina. In 2018, the drill program intercepted 387 metres of 0.57% Cu, 0.27 gpt Au from surface through to the end of the hole, which was not followed up on due to market conditions.
Big Bulk is a porphyry copper-gold target located 50 kilometres southeast of Stewart, British Columbia, Canada. Big Bulk is fully permitted and drill-ready with a 2,000-metre diamond drill program is planned for the future.
Libero Copper & Gold assets are advanced by a highly disciplined and seasoned professional team with successful track records of discovery, resource development and permitting in the Americas.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control on Sample Collection, Security and Assaying
Libero Copper operates according to a rigorous Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) protocol consistent with industry best practices. These best practices are implemented on all projects and include ongoing monitoring of assay data quality and database entry, sampling and logging methodologies, QA/QC protocols, sample security, the insertion of certified standard materials, blanks and field duplicates, QA/QC reporting and data validation. Assay laboratory details, assay techniques and more project information is provided on respective project specific overview pages.
Qualified Person
All geoscientific and technical data is collected under the supervision of, reviewed and approved by Matthew C. Wunder, B.Sc. P.Geo., the Vice President Exploration for Libero Copper. Mr. Wunder is a registered Professional Geologist and has in excess of 35 years’ experience in mineral exploration and is a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101.
Cautionary Note: Historic surface sample data has been reviewed and although complete data validation is not possible, it has been deemed reasonable for inclusion based on the nature and source of the data and the levels of mineralization reported. The company has initiated systematic resampling programs of historic outcrop locations that returned elevated mineralization at Mocoa and Big Red and plans to initiate similar outcrop resampling programs at Esperanza and Big Bulk. The company has initiated a soil sampling program to cover the main Mocoa claim block to confirm and validate historic soil sample data. The company has also initiated a historic surface sample data validation program through an external 3rd party.
